The collection received immense public backlash upon release due to the 'Malfi' character having characteristics that closely resemble a man in blackface. All pieces from the collection with the 'Malfi' face seen on these sneakers were pulled from stores and presumably destroyed soon after release. Very few of these are left in the world.
